Inside people laugh and drink great wine while the aroma of fresh baked breads, garlic and wood smoke fills the room…Welcome to Siena, a restaurant that takes its name from the picturesque town located in the heart of Italy's Tuscan region.
The cuisine of this particular region with its emphasis on grilled seafood, wild game and roasted potatoes, is close to the heart of many Texans. Not only does Siena capture the true flavors of the Tuscan hill country, but also the atmosphere.
Siena is the product of a long time dream of Stan Adams to bring to Austin an authentic Italian dining experience. Stan, a well-known restaurateur, has enlisted the help of Stephanie Childs, Chef Harvey Harris and Lacey Smith to fulfill his dream.
Chef Harvey's name is well known through out the Austin area and is synonymus with great Italian food. To prepare for the opening of Siena Chef Harvey attended the Master Chef's program at The Italian Culinary Institute in Costgliole d' Asti Italy. From there he ventured to the Tuscan town of San Gimignano where he lived and worked at the Ristorante IL Pino. It was there he gathered the recipes and ideas that are in use at Siena today.
Great food needs great wine and the wine list at Siena delivers. Stephanie's hand picked selections have created a wine list that has won several Wine Spectator awards and made Siena a popular destination for serious wine enthusiasts.
In addition to great food and wine, Siena offers a beautiful setting for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or any other special occasion.
